Which knife do I need?

Posted on May 22, 2019May 22, 2019

If you want to have a try at butchery yourself, a normal kitchen knife will not be appropriate. They are often blunt, cumbersome or oddly shaped.

The Urban Butchery Channel recommends either a 5 inch or 6 inch boning knife for your home butchery. They come in stiff, semi-stiff, semi-flex or flex. We advise you acquire a good all round knife such as a Victorinox 6 inch semi flex or flex for your home butchery.

You can buy butcher’s knives from Amazon.co.uk here:

Victorinox C673 Straight Boning Knife

Victorinox GL273 Fibrox Safety Grip Boning Knife, 5-inch

Victorinox GL275 Fibrox Safety Grip Flexible Boning Knife, 6-inch

Or buy them from Amazon.com here:
